I just got a phone-call from the Family Health Center about my blood sugar test results. Supposedly they came back absolutely normal.

The hell?

Had that fasting blood test done today. No food/drink for more than 8 hours, and then a big honkin amount of glucose all at once. As in, they drew blood to get my fasting sugar, and then made me drink a pint of orange liquid that vaguely reminded me of what those little kiddie freezer-pops tasted like when they weren't frozen. The day started out pretty damned good. Got up earlyish to go out to Chris of Costuming's farm to make a hat for my Renfaire garb. I did eat once I got gas - had an Amp and a little pack of chocolate gem donuts - right about 11 am. The drive went well, sang along with Lady Antebellum and just enjoyed the ride with yena.
